Orchestral instrumentalists interested in joining us are invited to get in touch. There are vacancies in our viola and violin sections, and we also have spaces for resident trombonists.
Although there are no formal auditions or entry requirements, players are normally expected to have had some orchestral experience. It also helps if you can sight-read well, play to a good orchestral standard, and attend rehearsals regularly. If you are interested, do get in touch and we will see if we can fit you in. Vacancies for other instruments arise from time to time, and there are opportunities for additional players for some repertoire. |
The main orchestra rehearses on Thursdays 7.30pm-9.30pm at Moor Hall Primary School, Four Oaks.

We are always looking for new members in our Youth Orchestra. We currently need brass players, but won't turn anyone away who is keen and committed. We can accommodate a variety of abilities, but we generally take members who start at grade1/2, up to grade 5.
Becoming a member will really improve sight reading ability, listening skills and counting - as well as general musicianship. RSCO Youth Orchestra rehearses weekly at Moor Hall School, Rowallan Road B75 6RE, from 4.30pm-6.00pm. Subscriptions are currently £25 per school term. If you know anyone who would like to join us, contact us via the website. |
