Conductor: Bob Vivian
Leader: Jeremy Blunt The aim of this concert is to give local youngsters an opportunity to perform as soloist with the accompaniment of a live orchestra. RSCO first put on a Young Soloists’ Concert in February 1998 and it has been an annual event ever since, interrupted only by the Covid-19 lockdown. It has become one of RSCO’s most popular and significant events. For many of the young performers this has been their first experience of playing in public with an orchestra, and several of the past participants have gone on to pursue a career as a professional musician. |
